“Bon bagay” - our translator told us this literally translates to “good stuff,” and is like saying “good job!” or “that’s good work right there!” We heard this from some of the adults standing around as they were watching @legitsadierob play with the children, simply laughing and dancing together. It was such an encouragement to hear this phrase.
There’s some really “good stuff” happening in Haiti that we were able to see and be a part of. The work of keeping babies alive in a place where only 1 in 25 live past their first 40 days of life and only 1 in 14 live to their fifth birthday is difficult. @thisbar is making a difference, feeding malnourished children, helping mamas keep their babies alive. You may not be able to travel to Haiti and literally feed hungry children, but I love that there is also “good stuff” in the simple things; offering someone a bit of your attention, your time, your smile, a silly dance move, or simply buying a breakfast bar ? @thisbar Bon bagay! How cute are these kiddos?!? ?
