Today we wanted to share the story of Jay Williams. Jay stopped in our lobby here in #Milwaukee last year and wanted to let us know about his mission to travel all 50 U.S. states on his #HarleyDavidson motorcycle. ⠀
He came back today to let us know that he has hit all of the lower 48 states. He was going to hit #Alaska but ran out of money. He is heading back home to Florida to save up and then will make the trip to Alaska. He has a deal with his dealership that once he crosses Alaska off the list they will cover the cost to send him and his bike to #Hawaii. ? ⠀

Now here are the facts that make the story extra special. Jay did the trip solo on a #Sportster. Jay is also hearing impaired and mute so any communication is done through sigh language or pen and paper, certainly a challenge that takes a strong will. ?? ⠀ ⠀

Jay asked to meet our CEO. Our CEO, Matt L., spent some time communicating with Jay through pen and paper and took some pictures. Matt even presented him with a special challenge coin that was produced at our York plant from the same steel used in our frames. Jay almost fell over with the excitement of getting to hang with Matt.

All of us have tough days now and then but these are the moments that remind us of why we ride. ?
