J. Shia's unconventional 1972 350cc Sprint custom is now on display at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI.
Inspired by Tchaikovsky's famous ballet "Swan Lake," J. designed a dual bike project to reflect both the contrast and parallels of the black and white swans. The "white swan" takes its place on display at the Museum.
J.’s build style for this project is unique in both function and materials, which she designed and fabricated all out of her Boston-based shop Madhouse Motors.
The swing-arm is stretched and fitted with a single-side suspension with a dual mono-shock system. The bike is outfitted with a turbocharger that utilizes a dual scavenge pump setup and an exterior oil tank hidden in the tail section. The battery is hidden inside the gas tank.
J. also incorporated unexpected parts from other products to create the bike. The headlight is the projector from a microscope and the tail light is a pencil sharpener. The carburetor intake is a modified juicer, and the foot-pegs are stove handles, while the turbocharger’s exhaust is a soprano saxophone bell.
We're proud to display this amazing build as a symbol of ingenuity in moto customization.
