The Duchess of Rothesay has attended the premiere performance of a new piece of music, composed by Professor Paul Mealor to mark the centenary of the end of WWI.
‘Requiem: The Souls of the Righteous’ was performed by @NYCOScotland and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra on Saturday at St Mary’s Cathedral in Edinburgh.
Funds raised from the concert will be donated to Osteoarthritis research at the @uniofaberdeen, of which The Duchess is Chancellor.
The ‘reflective and poignant tribute to peace’ will be broadcasted on @ClassicFM in November.
