Always one of my favorite days of the year. Mike’s rule is that we have to leave the house before 10am to beat the crowds. It always seems crazy to me to kill ourselves to get ready on a Saturday, but once we get there, I get it. The orchard is empty, it’s just us and it’s beautiful. On our way out, when we see all the cars pulling in, the crying toddlers and the people fighting over who gets the wagons, we always look at each other and smile.
