It's throwback Thursday. I'm remembering the sad day in late Nov. of last year when we received a Personal Protection Order and were silenced for 5 months, simply because we are trying to educate the public about declawing and end this very inhumane procedure. ?? Do you know who was the impetus for silencing us? A declawing veterinarian in Michigan advised the animal rescue to file this PPO. ??? This shows you how these declawing vet$ don't want this inhumane and mutilating procedure to end and the lengths they will go to, to silence us. This declawing vet declaws many of the cats before they put them up for adoption at this animal rescue. It's sad that this declawing vet didn't just help us educate the public about declawing and inspire this animal rescue to STOP doing such a harmful and unnecessary procedure to the hundreds of cats each year that they rescue. I ask you that if you don't read this whole story, then please sign the petition that's up at the top of it and also look through the PPO papers. Look at the very FEW emails that some of you sent to this declawing vet and how they were very respectful and educational, yet she used it to silence me. ? Thank goodness the @aclu_michigan stepped in to help protect our constitutional right so that no other declawing vet thinks of doing such an unethical thing to someone who is working day in and day out to end this sadistic cat cruelty. It's the FIRST time the @aclu_nationwide has helped a cat and our cause. This legal action will forever be recorded in history and years from now, people will be shaking their heads as to how unethical declawing vets were during this very dark chapter in the American veterinary profession.
