I have some good news. ?
After a tip from a supporter about this, I respectfully reached to this Reuben’s Room Cat Reacue in Michigan about this serious issue but never heard back from them. ?
So I reached out to Cathy Bissell to see if she could inspire Reuben's Room Cat Rescue to not perform or promote declawing on the cats that they rescue.
I heard back from Cathy Bissell, and the good news is that Reuben's Room said that this information was a mistake and they removed it and said they don't declaw their cats. ???
As many of you know, from the issues with another big animal rescue in Michigan, BISSELL Pet Foundation will NOT give grants to shelters or rescues that declaw cats! ???????❤️
Please donate to the @bissellpets if you can, they do amazing things for animals! ?
Keep your tips coming folks! YOU personally can help save kitties from this inhumane and mutilating procedure.
It would be nice if all these rescues had info about declawing and the easy, humane options on their websites so that all cat owners in Michigan could get out of the dark ages with their beliefs that declawing is ok to do to a kitty.
Education is the key but boy it sure is difficult to get the word out in this state and the Midwest.
Declawing vets are to blame for this in my opinion.
