Commemorating 100 years since the Armistice: The Princess Royal, Patron of Horse Trust, unveils a Memorial, “Soldier and Horse”, to mark the contribution of the trust, and its horses, during WWI.

#DYK that the Horse Trust is the oldest horse charity in the world? Founded in 1866, the charity first gained Royal support from Prince Albert. During WWI, the charity provided the first motorised horse ambulance to help evacuate wounded horses.
