During a visit to Birmingham today, The Duke of Cambridge joined celebrations for @AcornsHospice’s 30th anniversary. The specialist care centre, for life limited and life threatened children and their families, was opened by The Duke’s mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, thirty years ago.
As Patron of @SkillForceUK, The Duke of Cambridge had earlier attended @SkillForceUK’s Prince William Award Graduation Ceremony. The new scheme, run in schools across the country, aims to help young people build their character, resilience and confidence.
At the end of HRH’s visit, The Duke then unveiled a statue of Major Frank Foley CMG. Major Foley saved over 10,000 Jews during his cover as a Passport Control Officer in Germany in the 1920s and 30s.
