MEET ERIN!!!! Hello, everyone! My name is Erin Rasmussen. I am a second year teacher in a Title 1 public school in a large midwestern city. I teach special education and my students can range from kindergarten to 5th grade with various moderate to significant needs. They deserve the world and I simply try my very best to provide them with a safe learning environment where they feel accepted, protected, and successful. Each of my students arrives to school with a unique set of behavioral and academic needs. As a result, I spend a good amount of my paycheck on items to meet their individual needs and fill my classroom with resources that are conducive to learning. Not to mention, I am supporting myself financially as I work on my masters degree with an emphasis in severe developmental disabilities. I am forever in debt to the outstanding special educators who cared for my brother and sister, and I hope to make the same impact on my students.
