Missing my happy place. One of the reasons I love trekking/backpacking so much is that it simplifies things to a very base level. When you are on the trail, outside life doesn’t exist. There are no texts, no emails, no instagram, no obligations or deadlines. All you have is the stuff on your back, the friends around you, and the path in front of you. You have your two feet to propel you forward, and a series of achievable goals laid out in front of you. It’s instant gratification in the most satisfying way... hike to the top of a mountain? See a beautiful view. Finally make it to your campsite? Rest your feet and eat dinner with friends. I wish everything could be that simple. ?
