On this gloomy rainy day I’m thinking back to this beautiful sunny day in July when I got married, and the amazing dress I was so honored to wear. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to the incredible @サッチン+バビ, who worked with me to create my custom lavender wedding dress, in honor of my late mother. It was exactly what I dreamed of, and the most special way to remember her on our own magical day. Growing up I spent so much time looking through the stack of my parents’ wedding photos that they kept rubberbanded together in a desk drawer in the front hall. Sometimes my mom let me try on her wedding dress, and I would twirl around her bedroom and imagine my own wedding. When the time actually came to plan it, I quickly decided this was the way I wanted to keep her presence alive. @サッチン+バビ understood my vision completely, and went above and beyond to create this dream of a dress, something that is strikingly reminiscent of what I would twirl around in in my parents’ bedroom, yet thoroughly, intricately updated. I can’t explain how blessed I felt to wear it ? (thank you @taylorbphoto for these amazing photographs!)
