Loneliness is not something we are felling when we are alone. We can be surrounded with people who loves us and we love them in a moment when we are just start to feel it somehow. It’s not connected with an amount of noise or distractions. You can feel loneliness in anytime and anywhere. And then we start to overthink “is it because I’m unhappy maybe? Or something is wrong?” I’ve been rethinking and rebuilding my feelings around it and what I thought... loneliness (at least that feeling we have) is a sort of privilege. It’s a moment of our inner dialog. Moment when we feel the most of our fears, our needs and our dreams, our memories and insecurities. It’s a beautiful time of being connected with ourselves building better understanding. Everything is always a perception. So why we can feel sad during or after experience loneliness? Here comes perception and self compassion. We are feeling sad we can’t share some specific moment with people we want to share with or when we are feeling that we won’t be understood. And that’s building sadness, stresses, anxiety about our future, the feeling that we are alone in how we feel. Not the moment of inner dialog before. What we can do? We can change our perception of that feeling. Not every your emotion, thought or feeling should be understood or shared. It is what it is. Take a look on it as if it’s a moment of special hang with you. Give yourself love and care in that moment. Say “I’m listening to myself, I’m here with myself now having a special moment to share”.
