Photo by @FransLanting The highest mountain in all of Southeast Asia looks like an impenetrable fortress of rock as it rises above the steamy rain forests of northern Borneo. It shelters an astonishing variety of life from orangutans, flying frogs, and giant rafflesia flowers the size of truck tires in the lowlands, to weird pitcher plants and a dazzling array of orchids higher up the mountain.
