Today marks the anniversary of the Beslan school siege, which started on September 1, 2004 when terrorists took over 1,100 people hostage at School No.1 in the small town in North Ossetia, Russia. Following a rescue operation on the third day, 334 people were left dead, half of them students.

Diana @markosian revisited the town of Beslan 10 years after the siege, meeting survivors. Together, they returned to the school where it took place.
