A herd of #guanaco grazing along a ridge line in the mountains of #TorresDelPaine, Chile. This golden ray of light was extraordinarily unusual, illuminated by a low hanging sun and excess humidity in the valley. I spotted this herd from about a mile out and approached them from a dried river bed in the valley to avoid being seen. I managed to snap off a handful of photos as I popped into sight before they disappeared behind the ridge line. Photographed with the new @NikonUSA #Z7 and the new 24-70mm lens, this was the perfect kit for working in rugged terrain like the Del Paine, compact, light and a big 45+mega pix file.
