Another year around the sun. It feels different this year. Beautiful and yet poignant. A revolving door where two of the most significant people passed by each other: my father passing on and Floyd walking in. I feel like somehow they shook hands in between those spaces. Floyd gave me a gift, something so personal, sacred really, that only my father would understand. And this morning while I was sitting outside, thinking of my D.A.D. (Dynamite Awesome Dad), a big black butterfly danced around my face and then landed on my feet. Yes, today is a beautiful day. It’s my birthday and my wishes have come true. I feel grateful, that word doesn’t really surmise how much. Life is so very precious. Make the most of your moments, hold onto the ones you love and love them fiercely with all that you have.
