Flexing our voices on Capitol Hill to protect our public lands with policy makers. Nearly 60% of our climbing areas in the US are on public lands. 1 in 5 climbing areas in the US are threatened by access issues from private land lost to development, to climber impacts degrading the environment. As our sport grows in popularity, overcrowding is stressing these outdoor landscapes beyond their ability to recover naturally. This threatens access and degrades areas we care about. As much as we love to recreate on them, it is equally important to preserve the integrity of these spaces as well.
