? Monsters *do* exist! (Well, sort of.) Despite their name, Gila monsters are not monsters. Rather, they are one of the few species of venomous lizards on the planet. Instead of injecting venom through hollow fangs like venomous snakes, Gilas have enlarged, grooved teeth in their lower jaw.
