King George IV was born #OTD in 1762 at St James's Palace – the eldest child of King George III and Queen Charlotte's 15 children, he was King from 1820-1830. Most famously known for his time as Prince Regent, George IV is also remembered for his extravagant & flamboyant taste – he built the Royal Pavilion at Brighton & transformed Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace into the Royal Palaces we see today.
