In his new film @blackkklansman, out Aug. 10, he refuses to let the viewer miss the parallels between #racism in the 1970s and today; between law enforcement then and now; between the Klan and the so-called alt right; and between #KKK grand wizard David Duke and President Donald Trump. Lee wants us to wake up, @rembert writes. He wants us to start being honest with ourselves about this country. And he is begging us to educate ourselves about our history.
