"This shot was taken at Mrs Macquarie’s Point in Sydney, a popular spot for photographers due to the amazing views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. I was standing on the side of the point facing west, a great place to capture the view, especially at sunset. I usually pay fairly close attention to the moon phases and weather so I can be in the right place at the right time to capture full moon rises. This shot however was a completely unplanned stroke of luck! The waxing crescent moon was on its descent and I could see it starting to line up nicely with the Opera House sails. I made a quick dash to another spot to get the moon in a good position before it disappeared out of sight and this is the final picture." - @drruthcollins
