Years after suffering an injury while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005, avid motorcyclist Richard Neider lost his ability to walk. ⠀ ⠀ Last year, at the @SturgisRally in South Dakota, the charity @veteransride got Mr. Neider riding in the sidecar of a modified @indianmotorcycle alongside a mentor. The Phoenix resident and his wife then began saving money to build their own bike.⠀ ⠀ In February, Mr. Neider picked up his 2018 Indian Scout Bobber, with people donating parts through @veteransride and a custom-motorcycle builder in Phoenix building his bike. In July, the 39-year-old drove it for the first time.⠀ ⠀ The motorcycle is built so that he can operate it with his hands alone.
