@chien_chi_chang 's short film 'The War That Never Was' is showing at @dokufest in Kosovo this weekend. The screening is at 4pm this Saturday, August 4, at DokuKino in Prizren.

In the video, Chien-Chi Chang juxtaposes the life of his mother with the historical events that took place during the decades of the Cold War: "The filmmaker interviews his mother, who was born in 1938 in a poor region of Taiwan, about her life as a wife, a mother and a labor. With her life dedicated to daily survival, global affairs seem to have little meaning to her. She has never even heard of the idea of the Cold War."
