Meet Marcela Sabiá (@marcelailustra)! She is a Brazillian illustrator and writer based in São Paulo. Many people who know Marcela personally would mention her humor along with her art, even calling her the "queen of memes." She says it is a side she doesn’t always show through her work, but is a big part of her personality. Her inspiration comes from anyone in her personal life, since she strives to make a positive impact to everyone around her.

She describes her aesthetic as “simple, delicate, and feminine.” Using her unique illustration style on Instagram she has had the opportunity to meet others in real life and found a lot of success (singer @ケラーニ has even shared one of her drawings!). Through those connections she’s gained a sizable following that she’s proud of, though she also says she owes her success to posting art that represents an authenticity that motivates her to continue every day.
She loves to feature the female figure in her illustrations — ones of all shapes, sizes, and diversity — as well as her other passions including: art, animals, astrology, documentaries, and food.
