"I was excited to be photographing an unexpected aggregation of spider crabs in crystal clear water, when a predatory Maori octopus interrupted the scene. At first, all of the animals (including myself) seemed surprised and paused for a moment to look at each other, sizing each other up and wondering what was going to happen next... the reflective moment didn’t last long. The octopus quickly became disinterested in me and much more interested in the prospect of a crab for lunch. The crabs were soon toppling over each other to escape the hungry advances of the excited octopus." - @justingilligan
