As the International Space Station (@国際宇宙ステーション) flew over the Namib Desert, NASA astronaut Ricky Arnold (@astro_ricky) captured this shot from 250 miles above the Skeleton Coast. He shared, “The ethereal beauty of Earth is our constant companion. It reminds us of all that we have left behind and what awaits when we return.” The space station orbits Earth at 17,500 miles per hour, passing over approximately 90% of the Earth’s habitable land mass!
