Wow! The Lead World Cup in Villars, Switzerland was pretty epic. The athletes put on such an incredible show throughout the event! @ヤンヤ・ガンブレット gave an unbelievable performance in finals. She stunned the crowd with displays of her raw strength and power, resting where others had fallen and making the hardest moves look easy. @ジェシカ・ピルツ came in second. Jessy climbed with style and grace and looked calm and strong on the route, but an unfortunate foot slip high on the head wall ended her attempt. @キム・ジャイン completed the podium. The men’s route had a tricky crux and a wild finish. @ヤコブ・シューベルト came out on top after coming agonisingly close to sticking a wild sideways jump right at the top of the route. @romaindesgranges also got to the jump and finished second on count back. @楢崎智亜 was third. .
I’m not going to lie watching comps when you want to be competing really sucks. However, watching the athletes battling and fighting hard all weekend is so inspiring. Being there surrounded by the buzz, seeing the emotion, feeling the energy. It’s hard not to be psyched. I can’t wait to get back on the wall!
