I’m convinced that I do have a guardian angel.
When I arrived in Chanonix two days ago, I desperately tried to find a partner to climb the Drus and luckily all my friends had to work. On the night I was supposed to bivi on the top of the Grand Dru, there has been a huge storm and you can’t imagine how lucky I felt to be down in the valley!
Instead I teamed up yesterday with Italian force @giuliamonego and @paolomarazzi and we climbed the Gendarme rouge du Peigne.
It took us all day to climb the 13 pitches of the route “peigne perdue” 400m/7b with summit at 3’500m altitude.
It was such a great sensation to be at the sharp end, placing gear on perfect granit and to give my very best to onsight the entire route.
Thanks Giulia and Paolo for that amazing alpine climbing day and to my little angel, catching an eye on me while being in the mountains.
