This area is recognized as one of the ‘Hidden-Lands’, or Beyul in Tibetan, which are remote regions of the Himalayas that the eighth century Tantric Buddhist Padmasambhava is said to have designated as places for spiritual accomplishment and practice. Tibetan Buddhists consider these lands sacred recognizing the power and blessings they hold for increased experience and practice.
