Astronaut Ricky Arnold (@astro_ricky), currently living and working on the International Space Station (@国際宇宙ステーション), captured this amazing shot of Cuba from orbit — 250 miles above Earth! He posted it saying, “Towering thunderstorms skate across the Straits of #Florida as dawn breaks over #Cuba.” Arnold is part of Expedition 56, a team of six astronauts from NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and Russia’s Roscosmos. They’re currently preparing the space station for several new experiments arriving on the upcoming SpaceX Dragon cargo mission. Arnold helped ready the onboard Veggie Facility, which will be used in a new experiment so we can learn more about growing food in space!
