Summer morning at Sanitas. I found these kissing leaves at the end of a sunrise walk. I was in a hurry, and couldn’t figure out how to isolate the leaves from the chaos of the rest of the plant while still keeping the colorful background. I’ll come back tomorrow with more time, I told myself, knowing that the chances of those leaves still being like that were close to zero. And sure enough, things were different the next day, as they always are. So I’ll have to settle for this shot of the kissing leaves. •
