Thursday: Kaiserschmarrn, a shredded pancake from Austria ??, the eggs are separated and the whites whipped to give the light fluffiness in the batter. The whole thing is broken up and cooked further to give crispy golden edges. Recipe is in my book too! ?

It was a favourite of the Austrian-Hungarian emperor Franz Josef I, it literally translates as Emperor’s scramble, but more colloquially known as the Emperor’s Mess, good thing is that it’s also perfect for a pair of queens like us ? ????#symmetrybreakfast
