My mother thought social media was hilarious. She had a Twitter account, but just used it to look at other peoples feeds and laugh at their jokes. “That’s called ‘lurking,’” I said. “Ooh!” She said, visibly excited at the espionage connotations of the term. “I learned a new word!” She thought a lot of you were very funny (I specifically remember her enjoying the work of @pftompkins and @meganamram). She was funny and loved funny people and good God she adored a horrible pun. She went quickly in the apartment she loved in the city she loved. I’m pretty shell-shocked and not in a place to say much more right now, except I love you, mom.
