??? If this doesn’t melt your heart, we don’t know what will! Now that we’ve got your attention, we’d like to share a few safety tips from Mama Bear (and our friends at @parks.canada):
? Make noise so the bears know you’re there. Near streams, dense vegetation and berry patches, call out, clap and even sing!
? Keep your dog on a leash. Unfortunately, your friendly pup can provoke a defensive behaviour.
? If you see a bear, keep your cool. Speak calmly but firmly to the bear and make yourself appear big. Back away slowly rather than running away.
♨️ If you are travelling in bear country, carry bear spray.

? Faites du bruit pour avertir les ours de votre présence. Près d’un ruisseau, de végétation dense ou de bosquets de petits fruits, parlez fort, tapez des mains ou même chantez!
? Gardez votre chien en laisse. Malheureusement, votre fidèle compagnon pourrait provoquer une réaction défensive.
? Si vous voyez un ours, gardez votre sang-froid. Parlez-lui calmement, mais fermement, et faites-vous grand. Et ne prenez pas vos jambes à votre cou : reculez doucement.
♨️ Si vous voyagez en territoire de l’ours, apportez du gaz poivré.
