If you aren’t following @thebucketlistfamily family you’re totally missing out! They’re adorable! My love for them grew when they invited @johnluke_robertson and @marykaterob to go on a trip to Guatemala with them to see @fltrmvmnt work. They had the best time and came back saying the Gee’s are incredibly kind with amazing kiddos ? A few things that I love about the way they live their lives.
1- they are living their dream, whatever you want to do in life takes tons of work, sacrifice and perseverance. Of course when you see their pics and watch their videos it looks amazing, but I can only imagine the work that goes into travelling with 3 kids all around the world, not to mention how much work it is to share their experience with all of us! So glad they do!
2- I love that the kids are in on this amazing adventure. I hear people say, do everything before you have kids because when that first baby’s born everything changes, essentially life’s over, you’ve got to settle down, give up the dream, but that’s so not true! Kids can go along for the ride. They are incredibly resilient. They can do hard things! Don’t stop the adventure when you have kids, keep going, take them along. I’m of the philosophy that the world shouldn’t stop and revolve around your kids (it doesn’t anyway so the sooner they know that the better, ha!) your kids are joining a family, a community, an amazing world, they should join in!
3- I love their focus on being brave. Bravery is actually a command from God. He tells us over and over again in His word “Do not fear.” “Do not be afraid” “Fear not”...pretty much every variation of that phrase. He didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but one of Power!! As believers we can’t live our lives afraid. A huge part of how they teach their kids to be brave is by being brave themselves. Parents, we’ve gotta live it. Okay, now I might have gotten into preaching, ha!
Anyway I said all of that to say this is an awesome family doing some pretty incredible things, sharing their lives with us, don’t miss it! Watch they’re YouTube videos with the fam! So fun, and inspiring! The one where they swim with sharks is crazy!!
