Many of you know about this page that was made against me with all sorts of false statements on it.? Well I want to make a couple things perfectly clear. Of COURSE I want to see cats out of shelters and into loving homes. Of COURSE I don't want cats to be euthanized in shelters. There are actually people, like the one who made this page, who think that amputating the toe bones and claws on kitties after you rescue them from a shelter is the fastest way to get them in homes. #DarkAges These willfully IGNORANT people say such mind boggling things like they don't see a difference between declawing and spaying/neutering a cat. They actually say that because I am against declawing cats, that it means I'd rather see a cat euthanized. They wonder why, I think it's ok to "take their guts out" (their words) and wonder why I don't think it's ok to, "properly and humanely take these claws off so they could be adopted and have a home." (their words) I mean, these are humans who were born with brains, who live in America, and have access to all the facts about declawing. Even a child could do a simple 5 minute google search about declawing and find out the FACTS and make a rational assessment that this barbaric amputation procedure is inhumane, mutilating, and WRONG for goodness sake. But instead these people look at their declawed kitties paws and say they look normal and that means their inhumane declawing vet did a good job and it's ok. Or that their kitties act normal so there must not be anything wrong with amputating their kitties toe bones. (CAT 101 class- cats are notorious for hiding their pain.) But instead these people seem to have no ability to see past their own ignorance and realize if you just EDUCATE the public about the simple, commonsense humane alternatives and EDUCATE the public about the awful truth about declawing, then THEY WOULDN'T WANT TO PUT THEIR BELOVED KITTIES THROUGH THIS MUTILATING PROCEDURE. Rational, intelligent, and compassionate people get it that declawing is inhumane, no matter when it is done to a cat or how good their unethical declawing vet amputates the toe bones.
