As many of you know, a Michigan vet, who declaws many of the cats for this animal rescue, was the impetus for this PPO that was filed to silence me in my advocacy to end declawing. ???
Thankfully the PPO was dismissed a couple weeks ago.
We are now moving on to become a non-profit and will try to make big things happen to get the truth out about this barbaric, inhumane, and mutilating procedure.
You should know that the @aclu_michigan stepped in to write an Amicus Brief to educate the court and petitioner about why you can't take away my First Amendment right of free speech in my advocacy against declawing.
Folks this is huge. ???
Because if anyone tries to stop us again, this shows why it would be unconstitutional to do so.
Please take a few minutes to read it and thank the ACLU. It is cat history and the first time the ACLU helped a cat and our cause.

Also PLEASE remind everyone to take the high road and just EDUCATE! When you are threatening or mean, it hurts the cause, it's wrong, and as in this case, it hurt me in a very serious way.

I learned a lot from this about the law. It also showed me how we need an urgent intervention to respectfully educate the public in Michigan (and everywhere) about the facts about declawing and the easy, humane alternatives.
