The Little Penguin is the smallest of all penguin species and is the only species of penguin native to Australia. While relatively common in the southern waters of Australia, the Little Penguin has shown declines in NSW and all mainland colonies in this state have become extinct apart from the Manly colony in Sydney Harbour. They're very dear to our heart here at Taronga... We want to ensure their survival in our back yard for many years to come! #ForTheWild
