Northern Kenya is as wild as wild gets. The region is facing its worst drought in six decades, leaving people, livestock and wildlife desperately competing for survival. The @nrt_kenya (NRT) is a community-led conservation initiative which is working to develop alternative incomes for these communities. An obvious choice of alternative income is the stunning beadwork traditionally made and worn by the region’s women. Taronga is working with @zoosvictoria and @zoos_sa to support the The NRT and the Beads for Wildlife campaign.
