Is that bouquet for us, Mr Quokka? How kind! ? It's not every day you receive a posy from a #quokka, so you can imagine @meerkatharry's excitement when he encountered this friendly critter on @rottnestislandwa. Quokkas are rather sociable little animals, and they're quite used to human company so don't be surprised if they come up close. There's a population of #quokkas on #Rottnest, which technically means 'rat's nest' and was named by Dutch explorers who thought the quokkas were rats.
