It’s a sad day today losing Philip Roth. As an author, he interrogated the world and his place in it, bringing us with him through his remarkable books. I had the privilege of being part of the film adaptation of his novel, The Human Stain. The movie changed my life in more ways than one, not least of which that I met two of my closest friends on the set. I still love this movie so much. I’ll be forever grateful that Philip Roth left an abundant legacy for all of us to explore and experience in the years ahead.
