Dragon Dancing is a common sight in Singapore as it is performed on most every special occasion, from Chinese New Year to festivals and religious celebrations. The dragon is considered to be one of the most auspicious creatures in China and the dance drives away evil spirits and ushers in good luck for the community. This is just one of many forms of ethnic dancing that you can witness in Singapore due to it’s multicultural makeup. I am truly excited to be judging a new National Geographic photo competition with @NatGeoAsia and @Gov.sg, #WhatMakesSG with some awesome prizes including a Nat Geo Photography Expedition to Yellowstone Park. I look forward to seeing your photography on what makes Singapore special to you. The contest closes on May 22nd so get shooting! #WhatMakesSG
