This week we are supporting #DeafAwarenessWeek (DAW). We want to raise awareness of #deaf people in the UK and highlights perceptions that are made of hearing loss and deafness across the UK so make sure you also watch our stories.? It is the third most common disability in the world but it is also the most hidden. There are about 9 million people in the UK who are deaf or hard of hearing. Technology has evolved incredibly, so today we are sharing ways that you can become Deaf confident by teaching you basic signs you can learn and use to start conversations with a deaf person. ?? We can all work together in a more inclusive society and do little things that make a big difference to deaf people, minimising their everyday challenges.
