"On this particular day, while working onboard a whale shark interaction vessel, we were cruising around looking for interesting marine creatures to observe as the whale sharks were yet to be sighted. We came across this large smack of red bell jellyfish; knowing the red bell jellyfish are not dangerous, I quickly gathered my camera gear together and tried to best cover my body from head to toe as they still sting and oh boy, do they hurt!

Diving into this incredible view of jellies as far as the eye could see was one of the most beautiful and breath-taking experiences I have had to date. This is what I imagine it would be like diving into Jellyfish Lake in Palau. The smack was so dense I couldn't resist getting right in and amongst all of it, the beautiful sunlight shining through lighting the jellies up and all the little fish using them as a safe house. After every little bit of skin still exposed was stung to smithereens I retreated back to our vessel and dowsed myself in vinegar." @jesshaddenphoto taken on a #D810.
