Less than an hour drive away from downtown Victoria, you can find yourself surrounded by lush forest. This 44-kilometre trail travels on top of the old Sooke water main which is no longer in use today. Now it is a mossy playground to explore and provides a nearly flat hike into the backcountry. To get here: Drop in the GPS for “Sooke Potholes Regional Park” and park at the far parking lot. Cross over the Galloping Goose trail and look for the trail behind it leading to the flowline trail. À moins d’une heure en voiture du centre-ville de Victoria se trouve une forêt luxuriante. Ce sentier de 44 kilomètres vous permet de vous promener sur la canalisation désaffectée de Sooke. Désormais, il s’agit d’un terrain de jeu couvert de mousse, où l’on peut faire une randonnée dans l’arrière-pays avec un dénivelé très faible. Pour vous y rendre : demandez à votre GPS de vous mener au « parc régional Sooke Potholes », puis trouvez une place dans le stationnement. Cherchez le chemin qui se trouve derrière le sentier Galloping Goose et qui mène à l’ancienne conduite.
