Photo by @bertiegregory. After six days of being tossed around the cabin of our 50ft sailboat in the waves of the South Atlantic Ocean, we finally spotted land. Pictured is Willis Island at the northwest corner of South Georgia. Having spent the last few days with my head in a bucket, the sight of these massive cliff faces was as much a relief as it was spectacular! As we got closer, the first sunrays of the day lit up albatrosses as they banked in unison over the waves (grey headed albatross left of frame, black browed albatross in the middle of frame).
