Following my official retirement announcement, I have been taking the time to reflect on my journey as and athlete over the years and in particular this past season. During one of the most difficult yet fulfilling years of my career, I was physically, emotionally and psychologically pushed to look within the deepest parts of myself in order to access my strength.

Suffering from a concussion for 3 months during the season and having a little over a month to get ready for Nationals was a grueling task. As proud as I am for the performances I was able to deliver, I am even more thrilled to have been able to utilize my mind in a positive way during the hard times, which got me through to my end result. This feeling combined with the energy of the crowd I felt that weekend in Vancouver made going through all of this completely worth it. This experience will stay alive in my heart and fuel me for the rest of my life.

I can't express the amount of gratitude I have for my peers, family, coaches and fans in Canada and all over the world who have given me such endless support throughout the years. Finishing my competitive career, the way I did at Canadian Nationals was one of the most fulfilling moments of my life and I am so thrilled to forge ahead with the exciting opportunities that lie in my professional career.
