UPDATE: Over a year ago this lion, Bongani was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a death sentence in cats. The prognosis was poor but there was something in his eye’s saying, “don’t give up on me Kev.” He was hospitalized for a few weeks at #oldchapelvetclinic and was skin and bones. When Dr Caldwell released him back into our care he told me to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Bongani has got the fighting spirit of a ..........well, ........... a lion and has gone from strength to strength. He’s picked up weight, got that glisten in his eyes again and his mane is looking full and healthy. He’s got his energy back and comes running to greet me when I visit him and lives for his citronella spray and a good brushing.
