Day 13 of #the100dayproject: on loving yourself enough to be wise and discerning with who or what surrounds your life. If it’s not uplifting and overall positive or mutually life giving, if there are eggshells, or there is a pattern of feeling drained and pulled, or perhaps deflated, or feeling belittled or any other negative constants, then for me, it’s time to be thankful for the lesson, to bless it and to gracefully remove myself from it. Every time I’ve crossed this threshold of courage, my heart comes back to life, my spirit rejoices and it seems to materialize as if life itself was waiting for me to tend to that garden it gave me so it could plant new seeds of hope, love, peace and joy. There has always been an infinitely better reward waiting afterwards. This isn’t something I’m walking through at the moment but it is something that comes up, sometimes unexpectedly, in the cycle of seasons. And it’s been an ongoing conversation and topic that my son and I have been exploring lately. It feels good to make choices that honor the heart and the life I’ve been gifted. #100daysofhappy
